The FORMAT International Photography Festival presents a selection of the best of international photography in a diverse programme of exhibitions and events. FORMAT13 with the theme of ‘Factory’ allowed us to explore mass production; by stopping the manufacture of the catalogue in its tracks we expose the process. This resulting a publication with an exposed spine and sealed untrimmed pages. A ‘page opener’ device was provided with the catalogue so the pages could be revealed, engaging the reader as part of the production line'.
