A collaboration with Kilogramme Animation Studio who brought the visuals to life. The Newsround Special endeavours to open up the conversation around what is typically considered an embarrassing subject matter. In the 20 minute episode Lauren Layfield talks to experts, celebrities and children to get their take on the issue. Additionally an engaging and informative animated explainer, developed by Kilogramme, informs what a period is. The episode aired on March 8th to coincide with International Women’s Day.
